It’s not all sandy beaches in the M\u00e9doc<\/a>! Our campsite near Soulac-sur-Mer<\/a> is also an excellent base for exploring the M\u00e9doc’s heritage and culture<\/strong>. Majestic lighthouses<\/strong>, picturesque villages<\/strong>, colorful markets<\/strong>, traditions <\/strong>and local gastronomy<\/strong> make up a territory rich in discovery. It’s impossible to miss out on the region’s many wineries, cellars, ch\u00e2teaux and local oyster producers. For a weekend or a vacation, let yourself be surprised by the history and authenticity<\/strong> of this beautiful South-West region. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In just a few minutes from the campsite, you can discover a unique heritage: colorful carrelets along the estuary<\/strong>, lively guinguettes<\/strong>, farmers’ markets<\/strong>, marshes <\/strong>and small ports<\/strong>. The nearby voie verte<\/strong> makes it easy to get around from the campsite, so leave your car in the parking lot during your stay and set off by bike<\/strong>, <\/s>or take an<\/strong> all-terrain electric <\/strong> scooter<\/strong> (available for hire directly from the campsite) to explore the surrounding area! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t miss emblematic historic sites such as the UNESCO-listed Cordouan lighthouse<\/a>(voted France’s 2nd favorite monument in 2025) or the Soulac-sur-Mer basilica<\/a>. Taste the local flavors of the M\u00e9doc<\/a>: oysters<\/strong>, gambas from the estuary<\/strong>, and the famous noisettines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its central location, our campsite makes it easy to visit the M\u00e9doc and enjoy all the sporting activities available near Soulac-sur-Mer<\/a>. With a length of 75 kilometers, a width of up to 12 kilometers, and a surface area of 635 km\u00b2, the Gironde estuary is the largest estuary in Western Europe<\/strong>, revealing an exceptional environment<\/strong>: wild islands<\/strong>, natural banks<\/strong>, reefs<\/strong>, varied fauna<\/strong>… You can even embark for a cruise or a ferry crossing from Le Verdon. For culture buffs, the region also offers festivals<\/strong>, exhibitions <\/strong>and heritage tours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
